Armorer’s founders spent three years building and evaluating AI security systems together at AWS. Their experience spans customer-facing AI security agents, adversarial testing, and open-source security tools with 200K+ monthly clones.

Daniel Begimher

Co-founder & CEO

Daniel has worked in security since 2012, leading multinational security projects and incident response. During six years at AWS, he led the global Application Security Technical Field Community and served on the steering review committee for AWS re:Invent and re:Inforce.

He led the development and security of AWS’s first customer-facing AI security agent, scaling to thousands of customers. He also built red-team agents and led end-to-end security evaluations for AI systems.

Daniel created Automated Security Helper (ASH), an open-source security scanner with 200K+ monthly clones. He is a Black Hat USA 2026 speaker and author of SIR-Bench, a benchmark for evaluating AI security investigations.

Cristian Leo

Co-founder & CTO

Cristian led AI security science at AWS, building and evaluating AI systems for security. At Armorer, he leads AI research, evaluation, and engineering.

He is an author and core contributor to ThreatForest, an open-source agent that turns source code into attack trees, and an author of SIR-Bench, a benchmark for evaluating AI security investigations. He is a Black Hat USA 2026 speaker.

Cristian holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and has built more than 30 machine-learning models from first principles. He publishes research and technical writing on model internals and AI security.
